Music opportunities at Asbury

How to make new friends… join one of the music ensembles here at Asbury. There are four to pick from. You may find an interest in more than one too.

Instruments of Praise

If you play an orchestra or band instrument this is the place for you. We normally play one Sunday per month. We rehearse prior to the service on the Sunday we play.

Chancel Choir

Generally we sing every Sunday with a rehearsals every Wednesday. The schedule during the summer months is more flexible because we have some days off. You don’t need to have music reading ability, just a desire to make a joyful sound!

Asbury Ringers

Our bell choir has an opening for one or two players. Music reading experience is helpful as is ability to count 1-2-3 or 1-2-3-4 over and over.

Recorder Ensemble

This is our newest music group here at Asbury. Presently we have 5 players with basic skills. We are doing some Baroque era pieces as well as recent hymn arrangements done by the music director.
